OLIVETTO TUNSGATE

Olivetto (the little Olivo) which was formerly Rowleys Wine Bar, was taken over in November 1999 as a sister restaurant to Olivo.

The Building is located in guildford High Street, in front of the Guildhall, dating back to Elizabethan times when it is believed to have been the house of the Town Mayor.

In similar character to Olivo Guildford, Olivetto boasts open beams, wooden floors and a very attractive bar where guests can enjoy a pre meal drink. This convivial atmosphere extents to the front dining area where a meal can be enjoyed overlooking the High Street and famous Guildford clock.

The front room also known as the Dickens room has a history of the first mayoral meeting room in Guildford. What plans where discussed and hatched in this room look out on the High Street and imagine Sir. Francis Drake passing by in his coach on his way to Portsmouth to fight the Spanish Armada.

A truly interesting and historical evening can be enjoyed together with a fantastic meal prepared by our chefs. In summer there is an outside seating area where one can enjoy the beauty of Guildford sipping a glass of Italian wine accompanied by a selection of our traditional Italian meals.

Fulvio and Roberto, the  Restaurant Managers looks forward to welcoming you at the restaurant and providing a special evening.
